XII Stag is an unapologetic Triangle Service vertical shooter. A lock-on combo system, dense enemies and thrilling scoring. Niche but seriously effective.

Collector interest

The Korean edition of XII Stag, an old-school vertical shoot'em up from a specialized studio, prized by fans of demanding scoring. A niche genre with a narrow audience, the title was produced in modest quantities, and its Korean version remains particularly uncommon. Its interest combines the appeal of the pure shmup among connoisseurs with the scarcity of this targeted regional pressing.

Is XII Stag still worth playing in 2026?

A vertical shoot 'em up from Triangle Service, XII Stag leans on a locked side fire system that lets you aim to the sides while advancing, and a scoring built on risk taking and chain destruction. The snappiness, the originality of the directional lock and the satisfaction of scoring win over fans of arcade shmups. The modest production and a niche genre limit the audience. A title for vertical shoot 'em up scoring devotees and fans of demanding Japanese independent productions.
