A modern Limited Run Games reissue of the NTSC version, produced as an official limited run on an SNES-compatible cart. Its interest lies not in the original game but in the new collectible object: a short run, careful packaging and, depending on the variant, numbered or collector's editions that shape secondary-market demand. Sealed and intact it is the piece official-reproduction fans target; opened, it loses most of its argument, since this reissue lives above all on its factory-fresh status.
Is Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel still worth playing in 2026?
An Iguana and Sunsoft platformer spun off from the Aero the Acro-Bat series, Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel follows a ninja squirrel wielding shurikens and gliding between platforms. The snappy handling, the gliding powers and the colourful art direction make for decent, dynamic action. The high difficulty and a sometimes confusing level design slow the fun. An honest retro platformer for fans of the 16 bit genre and the curious about spin off mascots of the 90s.
