Majesco shooter with a powerful level editor. Arcade shmup fun on its own, but truly brilliant for crafting and sharing stages, ships and enemies. A rare Wii exclusive worth seeking out for tinkerers.

Description
Shoot-em-up developed by Budcat Creations and published by Majesco in Europe in October 2008. The player pilots a ship that can capture and absorb defeated enemies to merge their parts onto its hull, creating an ever-larger customized vessel. Shooting and enemy capture with Wiimote, progressive wave levels, trading constructions with other players and destruction mode. Unique construction mechanic in the shoot-em-up genre.

Is Blast Works - Build, Trade, Destroy still worth playing in 2026?

A singular horizontal shooter published by Majesco, Blast Works rests on a system where you stick the carcasses of downed enemies to your own ship to build an evolving mass of fire and shield. The original concept and the very complete level and ship editor make it a creative toolbox as much as a shmup. The modest production and a capricious difficulty weigh a little. An inventive curiosity for fans of atypical shmups and community creation.
