Blue Tongue sequel with the painter hero back on Wii. Mixed 2D and 3D platforming, longer levels, fun local co-op. A solid sequel that expands the original formula without reinventing it, recommended to fans of the concept.

Story
"Solid"
The chromatic revolution resumes in finer form, broader and more varied, in a city to be freed from its imposed greyness. Larger levels and enriched paint effects extend the visual euphoria of the first game. This colourful generosity, thought out down to the smallest splash, is as seductive as ever.

Collector interest

American version of the sequel to THQ's colorful platformer, released in 2011 as the publisher neared the bankruptcy that came the following year. This end-of-the-line publisher context cut short the title's commercial support, with its Wii version printed more modestly than its HD-console counterparts. Its collecting interest rests on this end-of-life release from a defunct studio and on its status as the series' final entry on the family console.

Is De Blob 2 still worth playing in 2026?

A sequel to Blue Tongue and THQ's colourful platformer, De Blob 2 carries over the joyful principle of repainting a grey city oppressed by an anti colour regime, adding two dimensional sections and a controllable companion. The reactive jazzy soundtrack, the dazzling art direction and the joy of seeing the world reborn in colour make all its charm. The gameplay stays repetitive over time. A generous, luminous platformer for families and fans of expressive visual worlds.
