The expansion's score turns to requiem: Westmarch's funeral organs, choirs muffled as if behind a catafalque, slow bells counting the souls. Facing the angel of death, the music renounces the base game's heroic fanfares and cultivates a liturgical solemnity, down to the crossings with the series' old theme, resurfacing like a memory before the final assault.
