Story
"Solid"
Reaper of Souls imposes the aesthetic of its fallen angel: Westmarch, a grey-blue gothic city drowned in mists, where harvested souls rise in pallid wisps and Death reaps demons themselves. Malthael, empty hood and twin scythes, seems drawn in smoke ink. The expansion deliberately extinguishes the base game's blazing palette for a coherent visual requiem.
Gameplay
"Excellent"
Fun
"From the very first minutes"
Addictiveness
"Obsessive"
Pulverizing swarms of demons to harvest a downpour of ever-shinier gear kicks off a hypnotic loot loop that always pushes toward the next power tier. Optimizing your build and farming the rifts reward each run. Repetition is the heart of the game, but the tactile pleasure of the carnage and the endless progression make every session hard to interrupt.
Difficulty
"Balanced"
Lifespan
"Massive"
The Reaper of Souls expansion grafts on Act V, the Crusader class and above all Adventure Mode, which frees exploration of the full zones from the story's grip. The procedural loot loop, the farming of ever-steeper difficulties and four-player co-op find endless ground here, extended further by permadeath Hardcore. A console-tuned reprise of the enriched PC experience, this edition concentrates everything that makes the item hunt so stubbornly compelling.

The Ultimate Evil Edition of Diablo III, gathering the base game and the Reaper of Souls expansion in the most complete console version of Blizzard's action RPG. Widely distributed in the West, its appeal lies in this status as the definitive cut, favored by fans after all the content, rather than scarcity. Better with friends

A loot-driven hack-and-slash built for four-player co-op, playable locally on one screen, which makes it a precious rarity in the genre. Mutual aid guides the dungeons, but the hunt for legendary items fuels a joyful one-upmanship where everyone compares finds. Readable, generous and cathartic, it restarts with the family for sessions where you progress together without ever drowning in complexity.

Is Diablo III - Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition still worth playing in 2026?

Released in 2014 on Xbox 360, this Ultimate Evil Edition gathers Blizzard's Diablo III and its Reaper of Souls expansion, the most complete version of the hack and slash on the console. Adding the Crusader, Adventure mode and Nephalem Rifts deeply renews replay value, far from the base game's act structure. The pad control and four player local co op on one screen stay a real shared pleasure. The loot hunting grows more generous.
