American version of the Digimon World 2 RPG with dungeon exploration. Published by Bandai, released in the USA in 2001. Over two hundred recruitable Digimon, generated 3D dungeons, turn-based battles with three Digimon, evolution fusion and cyberspace adventure storyline.
Complete: box, manual and disc/cart very clean. Lightly handled.

The second entry in Bandai's Digimon spin-off RPG, released NTSC-U in 2001. More strategic than the first, with deeper Digimon recruiting and fusion, but reputed to be punishing and grind-heavy, which keeps demand within the franchise's hardcore. Its value rests chiefly on the modest US print run and sealed copies, more than on any strong play reputation beyond dedicated fans.
A questionable morality
Raising a digital companion seems sweet, until you realize you're driving it through training, combat and dieting until death or degeneration ensues, before adopting another. You grow attached the better to demand, convinced you're doing right, while the little creature plows through the chores with a devotion you never truly question.
