Collector interest

A poorly received Digimon action-RPG, Digimon World 4 owes its scarcity to a restricted print run rather than any clamor. Demand stays thin beyond US Digimon collectors set on completing the sub-series on GameCube. The game's lukewarm reputation caps its value: copies are uncommon, but few people are genuinely hunting it outside the fandom.

Is Digimon World 4 still worth playing in 2026?

An entry in the Digimon World role playing series, this fourth installment leans toward action RPG and co-op dungeon crawling, where you play a Digimon exploring enemy filled levels. The intent to blend exploration, combat and progression is commendable, but the execution suffers from repetitive fights, an awkward camera and poorly balanced difficulty. The presentation stays modest. For Digimon fans after co-op and the curious about the license, it offers a decent two player pastime, below the expectations of the series' devotees.
