Accessible and spectacular DBZ versus fighter. Attack effects are impressive for the era. Less deep gameplay than Budokai but fan-service is present. Good choice for anime fans seeking immediate fun.

Is Dragon Ball Z - Idainaru Dragon Ball Densetsu still worth playing in 2026?

A Dragon Ball Z fighting game from Bandai, Idainaru Dragon Ball Densetsu gathers over twenty anime characters in team clashes on a pseudo 3D playfield, where you chain combos, energy blasts and spectacular special attacks faithful to the series. The dynamic staging, the two on two system and the fidelity to the manga make it one of the era's best DBZ games, celebrated by fans. The system stays accessible. For a retro versus fan, a Dragon Ball fan or a collector, the title keeps a remarkable spectacle and energy.
