Shiny Entertainment TPS action based on The Matrix Reloaded. Niobe and Ghost in a parallel plot to the film, scenes written by the Wachowskis. Ambitious concept, cinematic writing, but imprecise gameplay and limited AI. More notable for its film integration than its own merits.

Collector interest

Released alongside Matrix Reloaded, this tie-in stands out chiefly through its direct ties to the film: the Wachowskis shot exclusive scenes for the game. The Japanese GameCube copy remains a niche object, sought more as a cinema curiosity than for its gameplay. Its appeal rests with Matrix devotees rather than gamers, and demand stays modest despite a regionally uncommon presence on shelves.

Is Enter the Matrix still worth playing in 2026?

An official companion to Matrix Reloaded, this action game lets you play Niobe and Ghost across scenes shot specially for it. The idea of extending the film appeals, but the execution disappoints, between a fickle camera, stiff combat and rushed polish. The famous slow motion focus mode stays thrilling at times. Today its interest mostly lies in curiosity for trilogy fans or lovers of film tie in games from that era.
