Collector interest

GBA reissue of Wrecking Crew in the Famicom Mini collection, a look back at the 1985 Nintendo game in which Mario, hammer in hand, demolishes structures in an action puzzle with a thoughtful order of destruction. Often overshadowed by other Mario titles, it draws interest for its level editor and its atypical place in the plumber's career. Reissued in a faithful miniature box, it rounds out the representation of retro Mario productions. Its collecting interest rests on this status as a lesser-known Mario and on belonging to the anniversary line.

Is Famicom Mini 14 - Wrecking Crew still worth playing in 2026?

A GBA reissue of the 1985 Wrecking Crew, this Famicom Mini blends action and puzzle, handing Mario a hammer to demolish walls and panels in a thought out order, on pain of getting stuck. The hundred levels and the built in editor give an unexpected cerebral dimension to an often forgotten title. The stiff handling and the measured pace demand patience. For a fan of retro puzzle action, someone curious about overlooked Nintendo experiments or a collector, the title keeps a singular interest and a real hidden depth.
