Collector interest

GBA reissue of Dig Dug in the Famicom Mini collection, a tribute to the 1982 Namco arcade game in which the player digs tunnels to eliminate enemies by inflating or crushing them. Its singular underground mechanic made it a recognizable classic of the Namco pantheon. Reissued in a miniature box faithful to the original, it rounds out the presence of historical third parties in the line. Its collecting interest rests on this status as an arcade icon and on its place in the Famicom commemorative series.

Is Famicom Mini 16 - Dig Dug still worth playing in 2026?

A GBA reissue of Namco's Dig Dug, this Famicom Mini brings back an arcade classic where digger Taizo Hori carves tunnels to clear foes by inflating them until they burst or dropping rocks on them. The blend of underground strategy and timing stays rarely clever, built for scoring. The faithful conversion preserves the title's balance. For a retro scoring fan, someone curious about Namco heritage or a collector, the title keeps an immediate, still relevant tactical pleasure.
