Is FIFA - Road to World Cup 98 still worth playing in 2026?
The last FIFA released on Super Nintendo, Road to World Cup 98 surprises with its care for a generation's end, featuring thirty-two national sides, qualifying and cup modes and fairly readable Mode 7 graphics. The animation is decent and the gameplay solid, enough to offer a satisfying classic match on the SNES pad. Without rivalling the era's 32-bit versions, it remains the peak of football on the machine and a fine landing spot for anyone closing the FIFA chapter in 16-bit.
