The cart uses a Konami expansion chip for richer sound effects, an element appreciated by chiptuners. Intact boxed CIB with cardboard sleeve and manual has become a target for Goemon collectors, and the cote rises alongside foreign curiosity for a series that never left the archipelago at the time.

Bigger, more varied and funnier than the first, the title spreads colourful Japanese folklore through an action-adventure mixing platforming, exploration and imposing bosses. Originally Japan-only, the game stays visually expressive and approachable with minor help. A genuinely recommendable detour today, especially in local co-op.
