Each era gets its own complete chart: clothing cuts, building materials and palette shift from one age to the next, from the wood and wool of the oldest times to the dressed stone and dyed fabrics of the latest. Recognising which century you are in never requires reading a date.
A single theme runs through the three generations changing its clothes: flute and skin drum at the origin, a string ensemble next, a full orchestra for the last era. Recognising the melody beneath an unfamiliar orchestration becomes the most direct way of feeling that the three stories are only one.
The 108 Stars are spread across three generations, and inheritance becomes the story's subject: an oath sworn in the first era produces its consequences two centuries later, often against the intention of whoever spoke it. Switching between groups amounts to watching decisions age.

Is Gensou Suikoden - Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki still worth playing in 2026?
An original Suikoden entry on PSP, Gensou Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki interweaves three different eras, each gathering its 108 Stars in a world whose fates are linked by time. The crossed narrative structure, the collecting of a vast cast and the turn-based combat keep the series' soul, faithful to its scope. The presentation stays plain and the title stayed in Japan. An estimable pick for fans of large-roster JRPG and lovers of the Suikoden saga.
