The first Gex in 3D. The parody worlds carry real charm, the TV references hit and the cheeky chameleon concept appeals. Yet a wilful camera and a touch of stiffness in the controls weigh things down, keeping the adventure short of its contemporaries. A decent platformer, nothing more.

The American Gex 64 is a textbook case of value driven by sealed stock alone. Loose, the mascot's first 3D outing is among the most common and cheapest N64 carts, yet sealed copies reach wildly disproportionate figures given the game's quality. That dramatic gap comes from the scarcity of factory-fresh stock, not player demand: a merely passable platformer that sustains such prices only in untouched condition. Loose buyers pay almost nothing.
