Collector interest

North American (NTSC-U) edition of the Bungie prequel that closes its Halo cycle with an acclaimed campaign and a teeming multiplayer mode, one of the saga's peaks. Sold in volume across North America, it stays accessible and lightly priced. Its collector interest lies in its status as Bungie's farewell to its flagship series rather than scarcity, its period online closed and its run colossal.

Better with friends

A pillar of console shooting, whose campaign plays out four-player in co-op and whose competitive arenas defined the genre for a whole generation. The competition rests on power-weapon control, mastered jumps and team communication, readable and deep at once. Local split-screen backs up an online with uncertain servers, making evenings a joyful blend of mutual aid and rivalry.

A cult cover

Helmeted and scarred by war, the Noble Spartan looms over the planet Reach in metallic blues tinged with gravity. The heroic stance and the blazing horizon announce a last stand of honor with no return. Solemn and martial, it foreshadows the tragedy of a battle lost in advance.

Is Halo - Reach still worth playing in 2026?

Released in 2010 on Xbox 360, Bungie's Halo Reach is the studio's moving swan song on the series, a prequel that follows a squad doomed to sacrifice on a condemned planet. The sandbox combat, among the best of the saga, is enriched by armour abilities that renew the approaches. The Firefight mode and an exemplary, rich multiplayer extend the experience endlessly. The art direction and the dramatic tension of the campaign leave a lasting mark. The official multiplayer has shut down on this console. But the campaign stays superb. For fans of console shooters, this title remains a must on the machine.
