tri-Ace deliver an ambitious real-time combat JRPG with an annoying Capell but epic staging. The pace is uneven, the companions shine, and the fairy fresco delivers a few superb emotional peaks for anyone willing to forgive its rough edges.

Collector interest

The Japanese and Asian version of Infinite Undiscovery, the first release of the tri-Ace and Square Enix exclusive action-RPG, on two discs. On a region-locked console, this original edition forms a distinct object, sought by anyone wanting the title in its native language among the publisher's RPGs on the platform. Its interest combines this initial-release status, the exclusivity and the multi-disc structure.

Is Infinite Undiscovery still worth playing in 2026?

An action RPG from tri-Ace and Square Enix, Infinite Undiscovery offers seamless real time combat, a large party of companions with varied powers and a classic heroic fantasy plot around a moon chained to the earth. The dynamic combat system and the management of teammates deliver good moments. The uneven story, underused companions and a mixed presentation temper the whole. An action JRPG for fans of snappy combat and the curious about tri-Ace's catalogue on the console.
