Compilation of the first seven King of Fighters games (94 through Orochi Saga) emulated directly from Neo Geo. Essential chapter of SNK history with memorable Orochi arcs, rosters that grow episode by episode. Decent emulation, online modes on Wii version sadly forgotten. Excellent entry point into a decade of versus fighting, simple but respectful presentation.

"Solid"
An anthology of the early King of Fighters, the compilation gathers energetic themes blending rock, funk and jazz, the sonic signature of the SNK studio. Each team has its standout track, from the famous "Esaka" to frenzied saxophones, galvanising the clashes. This retro musical generosity delights fans of nervy fighting.

Fun
"From the very first seconds"
Gathering five cult King of Fighters entries, from the very first game to the climax of the Orochi saga: this compilation offers a generous dive into the golden age of SNK versus. Building your trio, chaining hits and turning a losing duel around stays a snappy, strategic pleasure. Handy and essential, an anthology condensing dozens of hours of legendary fighting.
Addictiveness
"Obsessive"
Building your team, juggling fighters and landing the decisive blow across the gathered Orochi chapters drives you to try a thousand line-ups. Winning a round calls for the next, and hopping from one entry to another revives the curiosity. The emulation stays plain and the content dated, yet the alchemy of team battles and the saga's nostalgia hold a stubborn grip for the fan.

Lifespan
"Massive"
Lining up five foundational entries, from KOF '94 to '98, embraces the whole Orochi arc and its three-on-three team battles, with their Kusanagi, Bogard and Yagami clan fighters to learn one by one. Mastering every roster, taming the Arcade and Versus modes and squaring off endlessly with friends feeds sessions that never quite run dry. That competitive density, native to the versus genre, gives the compilation its reputation as a bottomless well for devotees.

King of Fighters Collection, The - The Orochi Saga (Wii) price, value & rarity
An SNK compilation gathering The King of Fighters '94 through '98, the entire Orochi arc, in faithful conversions. On a Wii thin on demanding fighting games, this anthology draws genre fans keen to own these classics in a physical console version. The Korean edition, in a small local run, is the hardest to track down. Desirability rests on the heritage value of the Orochi saga and on the relative rarity of fighting compilations on the machine.
Is King of Fighters Collection, The - The Orochi Saga still worth playing in 2026?
An SNK compilation gathering episodes 94 to 98 of the Orochi saga, The King of Fighters Collection brings together the golden age of three on three team versus fighting. The richness of the rosters, the depth of the combat system and the mythical aura of that period make the value of the collection. The pad handling adjustments and the absence of polished online functions temper the interest against modern reissues. An essential compilation for fans of 2D fighting and SNK history.
