Collector interest
Seventh and last Mario Party on GameCube, pushing to eight players via shared controllers and also shipping a microphone. Its collector interest lies in its position as the series' close on the machine, often the final piece completists aim for, and in the need to include the peripheral for a whole set. The European edition, with a narrower PAL pressing, is all the more coveted as the original mic is often missing from resold boxes. Desirability rests on a rising value and that end-point status, making it a prized goal at the end of a collection.
