A more ambitious portable sequel that lets players swap between X and Zero across virtual realms. Punchy platforming, top notch dash and wall climbing, beefier content and inspired bosses. A solid bonus for series fans on the move.

Rockman X2 - Soul Eraser (GBC) price, value & rarity
For this sequel, the Maverick cast widens and Zero joins the dance, saber drawn, alongside X. Each hunter stays vulnerable to a weapon stolen earlier, rewarding a well-planned order of attack. Richer and better paced, the run of duels, right up to the masterminds of the Maverick army, carries on the series' twitchy thrills on GBC with real flair.
Is Rockman X2 - Soul Eraser still worth playing in 2026?
Mega Man Xtreme 2 carries the spirit of the X series onto Game Boy Color, letting you choose between X and Zero, each with their own style, to purge an infection eating away at the Reploids. The dash, wall-climbing and bosses drawn from the console entries respond with remarkable precision despite the small screen. The title has aged well and offers a balanced challenge, more generous than its predecessor. For fans of snappy action-platformers and the X saga, it is an excellent portable entry.
