Second EA Sports Big street basketball entry, calmer than V3. Spectacular tricks already well-honed, decent career mode and efficient local multiplayer. Without the next one's flair, still a solid arcade basketball game. Nice to dust off.

Story
★★★★★
"Anecdotal"
NBA Street Vol. 2 stylizes street basketball to the extreme: exaggerated player proportions, urban courts splashed with graffiti, light trails on impossible dunks and a loud hip-hop interface. Every playground breathes street culture, from Rucker Park to neighborhood gyms. A proud, energetic arcade art direction, carried by the flair of the Gamebreakers.
The soundtrack is one with playground culture: an infectious hip-hop selection, heavy beats and licensed tracks that pace every match like a neighborhood mixtape. The music fuels the energy of the Gamebreakers and turns the court into a stage. An authentic street accompaniment that marked a whole generation of players.
Gameplay
"Masterful"
Weaving long trick strings before finishing with an impossible dunk: the fun springs from a fluid flow where style outranks the raw score. The play system, clear and snappy, lends itself wonderfully to pick-up duels. A touch repetitive over time, but with handling so rewarding it stays a safe bet in arcade sport.
Fun
"From the very first seconds"
The asphalt reclaims its turf with three-on-three matches where style rules: chaining fakes to fill the gauge and dropping a legendary dunk delivers an instant rush. The frantic pace and hip-hop vibe sweep everything along. With several players, showing off becomes a sport in itself. Cool, snappy and as exhilarating as ever.
The NTSC release of NBA Street Vol. 2 is the US version of EA BIG's second entry in a large print. Collector value comes from the game's cult status and from the original licensed soundtrack (Nelly, Just Blaze, etc.) never being reproduced identically in modern reissues due to rights.
Better with friends
An unhinged take on streetball, pushing the art of the trick and the showmanship even further in two-on-two. The competition rewards daring: risking an improbable combo to crank up your multiplier, even at the cost of losing it all on a fumble. Lively, generous and colorful, it turns every possession into a circus act and guarantees reversals as sudden as they are hilarious.
Is NBA Street Vol. 2 still worth playing in 2026?
A direct sequel to the first entry, NBA Street Vol. 2 considerably enriches the content with new courts, reworked Trick Sticks and a Be a Legend mode that follows the journey of a created player. The gameplay gains finesse, the Gamebreakers become more spectacular and the street spirit asserts itself further. For arcade basketball fans seeking a step between the first game and V3, this version remains very satisfying, particularly in local multiplayer today still.
