King of the Monsters 2 - The Next Thing extends SNK's kaiju series, in which giant monsters clash and ravage urban arenas in a blend of combat and outsized wrestling. The creature transformations, the destruction of settings and a spectacular tone bring a delightful outlet, especially in co-op against the bosses. The repetition and an at-times confusing combat system temper the enthusiasm. For fans of retro giant-monster games and uninhibited cooperative brawling, it is a spectacular and good-natured diversion.
