Carrying Nobunaga to unification in this Western release demands real stamina: grow your fiefs, weave alliances, raise armies and decide turn by turn, daimyo after daimyo, across the whole archipelago. The mass of provinces and finely tuned parameters stretch each game, while the various scenarios and lords renew the challenge. That strategic volume keeps its aura as a sprawling management epic among genre devotees.

Western version of Koei's Nobunaga no Yabou series, published in the US in 1993. This strategy simulation on the unification of feudal Japan targets a narrow NTSC audience, English-speaking players versed in Koei's tactical tomes. Like the publisher's other heavy management titles, it had a modest print run and rarely survives complete with its manual and booklet: it is the full US copy, more than the cartridge alone, that draws collectors of historical strategy.
