Collector interest

The American edition of Omega Boost, the mech shooter that remains Polyphony Digital's only departure from its racing-sim vocation. Its polished technical execution and singular pedigree make it a title sought by fans of spectacular shooters and the studio's curious. Its interest springs from this thematic rarity within a ludography otherwise entirely dedicated to Gran Turismo.

Is Omega Boost still worth playing in 2026?

A mecha shooter from Polyphony Digital, Omega Boost puts the player at the controls of a battle robot in 360 degree 3D space arenas, chaining enemy waves and titanic bosses at a frantic pace. The sense of speed, the spectacular staging and the polished CG cutscenes make it a technical showcase for the PlayStation. The short lifespan and a repetitive gameplay temper the enthusiasm. A snappy shooter for fans of space action and mechs.
