Taking up the Kanto odyssey again, choosing your starter and building a team along the badges sets up a gentle progression whose steps you chain without seeing the end coming. Capturing a rare species and aiming for a complete Pokédex sustain a constant motivation. The pace of battles can wear thin, but this mechanic of collection and care stays timelessly addictive.

Exploring Kanto in Italian hides a bonus region behind the League: the Sevii Islands offer fresh quests and a wider horizon. Completing the 151 species demands trades, and the exclusives set against FireRed push you to pair both carts. The link to Ruby and Sapphire stretches the adventure further still, and this faithful yet fleshed-out remake keeps its reputation as a clear, content-rich classic.

Collector interest
Italian localization of Pokemon Verde Foglia, twin of Rosso Fuoco distributed by Nintendo Italia in September 2004 with the Wireless Adapter included. The Verde Foglia name restores for the first time in Italian the Green palette of the first Japanese generation, never sold on GBC in that language. That language identity quirk makes an IT identified clean complete copy with original adapter a particularly loaded piece for Italian speaking collectors invested in the Green continuity.
A questionable morality
However thoroughly the founding idea has become cultural common sense, it stays delicious from a distance: you catch wild animals in little balls, make them fight until they faint to become the greatest trainer, and the rejects wait forever in a computer box. All of it in the name of a friendship the parties involved never actually asked for.
Is Pokemon - Versione Verde Foglia still worth playing in 2026?
FireRed and LeafGreen are the GBA remakes of Pokemon Red and Blue, and most likely the best way to revisit Kanto today. The animated sprites, modernized ergonomics and the post credits Sevii Islands turn the first generation into an adventure that can honestly be recommended to a newcomer. Trade compatibility with Ruby and Sapphire extends the content further. For fans of classic Pokemon wanting a cartridge that is still very playable, this is a safe and complete pick.
