Original Japanese Saturn edition of Puyo Puyo Sun, distributed by Compile in December 1997 with the 1M or 3M tag depending on the run, the third main entry in the Compile sub franchise that introduces the sun mechanic and an expanded story mode. Compile Japan run was short, jewel case with intact obi, and the later disappearance of Compile turned every Saturn title of the brand into a heritage object. Complete with obi clearly valued among Japanese Compile completists.

A chain puzzler opened up to four, where the screen becomes a frantic melee of blobs and crossfire counterattacks. The competition quickly turns unpredictable: everyone slings garbage and tacit alliances form and break in a flash. Messy and merry, it bets on laughs over seriousness and happily restarts for express rounds.
