The legendary ships of the horizontal shooter reappear reduced to counters set on a hexagonal grid, drawn in three-quarter view and detailed down to the modules. Facing them, the Bydo remain asymmetrical organic masses, flesh and metal combined, refusing the geometric alignment of everything else on screen.
The themes of the original shooter return slowed and stretched, their riffs turned into pads holding across several turns of thought. What once hammered now accompanies a wait, and the same melody changes function entirely without changing a note.
