Collector interest

Alpha Denshi and ADK Japanese September 1994 edition of the Neo Geo CD port of Blue's Journey under the Raguy title. A pre-classic ADK arcade platformer known for its visual humor and Blue's transformations. The Japanese CD cartridge offers a CD-Audio soundtrack recorded for the format and keeps the original Japanese subtitles of the cinematics. Desirability rests on the cult status of the ADK title and on the rarity of the early Japanese Alpha Denshi CD run.

An underrated gem

Platformers aren't the Neo Geo's natural turf, and this colorful little ADK proves it with unsuspected charm: shrinking down, tossing leaves, rummaging through generous backgrounds in two-player. Its against-the-grain genre got it forgotten fast. A lovely breath of fresh air for anyone who loves retro platformers brimming with ideas.

Is Raguy ~ Blue's Journey still worth playing in 2026?

Raguy, known in the West as Blue's Journey, is an ADK action platformer brimming with whimsy, with cartoon sprites, kooky enemies and zany weapons. The art direction carries a unique charm, the pacing is gentle and accessible, and the cooperative mode makes the experience even warmer. On Neo Geo CD, loading stays manageable and the CD soundtrack adds festive colour. Not the system's technical peak, but a genuine, charming little parenthesis worth exploring today, especially in co-op.
