Size Matters brings the portable R&C to PS2 and the magic holds despite some technical concessions. Punchy action, intact humour and measured length. A nice alternative for series fans.

Collector interest

A late PS2 port of a Ratchet & Clank designed for the PSP, released in 2008 as the console waned. This end-of-life launch saw quieter distribution than the flagship entries, making the PS2 version slightly less common, especially against the handheld original. Its interest stays modest, tied to this late-curiosity status more than to a real price or strong demand.

Is Ratchet & Clank - Size Matters still worth playing in 2026?

Released in 2008 on PS2 after a first life on PSP, High Impact Games' project offers a complete Ratchet & Clank adventure despite its handheld origin. The formula stays faithful, mixing platforming, shooting and a delightful arsenal, with a story centred on uncovering Ratchet's origins. The colourful art direction and the saga's humour are present. The more modest scope, inherited from the PSP format, and some uneven side sections show against the main home entries. A good pick for fans of the series eager to extend the adventure and for fans of accessible action platforming.
