Is RayStorm still worth playing in 2026?

A vertical shoot them up from Taito, RayStorm evolves the RayForce formula into 3D, with its multiple lock-on system that lets you target several enemies spread across two depth planes before destroying everything in one salvo. This exhilarating mechanic, the spectacular staging and the polished electronic soundtrack make it a striking, stylish shmup. The high difficulty calls for perseverance. An excellent vertical shooter to recommend for genre fans and snappy tactical scoring.
