Crystal Dynamics deliver a stunning sequel to the Tomb Raider reboot with a more mature Lara and breathtaking Siberian vistas. Progression mixes survival, exploration and combat into a convincing cocktail, and the 360 port stays largely well polished for the studio's last Lara entry.

North American (NTSC-U) edition of Rise of the Tomb Raider, a Crystal Dynamics action-adventure that extends Lara Croft's revival with sumptuous snowbound settings, released first as a timed console exclusive. Still common, its desirability rests on this status as a period exclusivity window and an acclaimed production rather than scarcity, the Brazilian release being rarer. A prime piece for an action-adventure set.

Is Rise of the Tomb Raider still worth playing in 2026?

Released in 2015 on Xbox 360 in a streaming based version, Crystal Dynamics' Rise of the Tomb Raider continues the series' rebirth with a more seasoned Lara Croft, off in search of a lost city in Siberia. The exploration of optional tombs rich in puzzles, hunting and crafting enrich an accomplished action adventure formula. The snowy landscapes and the cinematic staging impress. The previous generation version shows technical limits. But the adventure and exploration fully appeal. For fans of action adventure and the new Lara, this title keeps a strong appeal today.
