Second Sight delivers an atmospheric action adventure with psychic powers. Flashback storytelling, stealth and telekinesis. More measured and narrative than Psi-Ops, and genuinely good.

Collector interest

A Free Radical narrative action game where an amnesiac man unfolds psychic powers across a time-shifting plot, an esteemed work by the studio behind TimeSplitters. Still common in the West, its interest lies in this reputation as an underrated gem and the prestige of a now-defunct studio rather than scarcity. A piece for fans of overlooked auteur games of the PS2 era.

An underrated gem

Endowed with psychic powers, an amnesiac man pieces his past together by alternating two timelines in this stealth-action game from the TimeSplitters creators. Released at the same time as a very similar rival, it was overshadowed. Its clever storytelling and heady powers are worth the detour for fans of original stealth.

Is Second Sight still worth playing in 2026?

Released in 2004 on PS2, Free Radical's project blends stealth and psychic powers into a thriller whose story is cleverly built around memory loss and time hopping. The hero John Vattic develops telekinesis, projection and possession, opening varied approaches between discretion and direct action. The two timeline narration, which gradually lights up the mystery, sustains real tension. The firearm combat stays rudimentary and the artificial intelligence uneven. A clever and little known curiosity, recommended for fans of stealth tinged with the supernatural and of twist driven storytelling.
