The standard Japanese edition of Sega Rally 2 is the original pressing of the AM5 port, faithful to the original NAOMI build.

Better with friends

A snappy arcade rally where controlled drift over dirt, gravel and snow gives four-player duels all their flavor. The competition plays out to the tenth of a second, in reading shifting grip and the art of placing your slide on the apex. Accessible yet deep, it forges stopwatch rivalries where you fight over every corner and the instant rematch becomes a reflex.

Is Sega Rally 2 still worth playing in 2026?

The long awaited sequel to Sega's arcade classic, Sega Rally 2 keeps the drift spirit and the handling sensation on varied surfaces that built the first game's legend. The Dreamcast version benefits from a particularly successful ten year rally mode. The graphics have aged and the conversion suffers a few technical compromises against the cabinet, but the driving pleasure remains intact. For arcade rally fans, the title still works as an excellent companion for short sessions on the couch.
