Collector interest

The Genesis Shadowrun, distinct from the SNES adaptation by FASA Interactive, was developed by BlueSky Software from the cyberpunk tabletop role playing game. Its mainly Asian and North American distribution, without a proper PAL release, limits circulation and pits two design philosophies against each other across the two console versions. This open world action RPG angle and its standing as the rival counterpart to the SNES game sustain durable niche demand.

An underrated gem

Adapted from the tabletop role-playing game, this cyberpunk RPG plunges into a 2050 Seattle where magic and high technology coexist, with genuine freedom of approach for a console title. Its very limited distribution and austere interface worked against it. Its dense atmosphere and unusual world reward patient role-players with a taste for dark science fiction.
