Collector interest

A 1994 Technos Japan Super Famicom beat'em up, Japan-exclusive on original cartridge, a direct sequel to Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari with a mature, tragic narration unusual in the Kunio-kun line. The cart is culturally important as the last major Technos Japan Kunio-kun before the studio's dissolution. Intact boxed CIB with cardboard sleeve and illustrated manual has become a grail for Kunio-kun collectors, and the cote climbs hard.

Better with friends

A street beat'em up where two buddies chain schoolyard brawls in playful co-op full of personality. Mutual aid paces the adventure: taking turns against rival gangs, sharing items and special moves makes progress far tastier two-player. Colorful and packed with humor, it blends fighting with light role-playing touches, and clearing a chapter together builds a closeness you want to extend.

Is Shin Nekketsu Kouha - Kunio-tachi no Banka still worth playing in 2026?

Never released outside Japan in its SFC form, Shin Nekketsu Kouha - Kunio-tachi no Banka is the last Technos Kunio-kun on the system, namely a beat them up where the series absurd humor meets darker scenes. The cartridge gathers street fights, motorbike rides and urban exploration, in a Kunio spirit always recognizable. A recent reissue as River City Girls Zero offers an official translation. Recommended to fans of the Kunio franchise and to lovers of singular Japanese beat them ups.
