Is Sims, The still worth playing in 2026?

Released in 2003 on consoles, this port of the Maxis life simulator adapts the PC phenomenon to the controller while adding an original scripted adventure mode. Managing a household's needs, relationships and career keeps a definite absorbing power, and the story mode brings welcome objectives. Building and management lose some flexibility against the mouse, and the presentation has aged. Fans of life simulation and the curious about the console version still find an accessible gateway to a license that became a pillar of the genre.
