Splatterhouse 3, a more exploratory sequel with central hub. Still dark and demanding, one of the best Splatterhouse for genre fans.

Splatterhouse Part 3 (Mega Drive) price, value & rarity
Namco's third and last Splatterhouse, a horror beat'em up released in Japan and Korea. Its collector interest lies in the cult around the series, a peak of gore horror on 16-bit, and in the marked rarity of the Korean version from a tiny Mega Drive market. The Korea variant, markedly harder to find than the Japanese one, is the target of collectors crossing cult franchise with confidential Korean editions.
A questionable morality
To save his girlfriend, the hero agrees to don an evil mask that multiplies his strength in exchange for a certain say over his mind, then sets off to pulp hordes of creatures across hemoglobin-soaked sets. Love justifies everything, it seems, even a shady pact with a possessed artifact and a pronounced taste for carnage, owned without a flinch.
Is Splatterhouse Part 3 still worth playing in 2026?
The third entry in Namco's horror beat-em-up, Splatterhouse 3 sends Rick, cursed mask on his face, to save his family in a creature-infested mansion, with an open structure and branches based on elapsed time. The unabashed gore, the transformation system and the tension of the race against the clock give it real personality. The presentation and handling have aged. A choice curiosity for fans of retro beat-em-ups and 1990s horror.
