Wii release of EA Big's SSX, extreme arcade snowboard with motion controls. Wiimote for aerial tricks via Wiimote+Nunchuk gestures, dizzying slopes on seven mountains worldwide. Career mode, local four-player multi, catchy electro soundtrack. Shorter than previous SSX, very Big arcade vibe. Motion controls divide purists but work. Solid Wii spin-off, will please SSX arcade fans.

Is SSX Blur still worth playing in 2026?

An arcade snowboarding game from EA, SSX Blur transposes the cult extreme descent series onto the console, exploiting gestural controls to draw aerial figures and negotiate tight turns in dizzying, stylised descents. The sensation of speed, the creativity of the trick chains and the uninhibited arcade spirit appeal to fans of spectacular sliding. The demanding precision of the gestural control for complex figures divides. For a fan of arcade extreme sports or of the SSX series, the title keeps a preserved sensation of speed and energy, in a snappy production.
