First Street Fighter Alpha on Saturn, faithful CPS2 arcade port. New characters (Adon, Birdie, Rose...), revolutionary chain combos. Visually splendid for the era. A versus fighting milestone still pleasant to play.

Collector interest

NTSC-U edition of Street Fighter Alpha Warriors Dreams on Saturn, distributed by Capcom in the United States in 1996, the first Saturn Street Fighter Alpha in its English form, which requires the 1 MB RAM expansion cartridge for animation fidelity. On the American market where the Saturn carried little weight, the NTSC run stayed short, making it a target for US side Capcom Fighters completists. A clean complete copy with intact North American jewel case and the expansion cartridge is clearly valued.

Better with friends

A revival of a 2D fighting saga where the Alpha counter and custom combos add a heady tactical layer to the duels. The competition rewards boldness and creativity, each player crafting their own strings to surprise the opponent. Snappy and readable, it welcomes beginners while offering plenty to dig into, and its nervy face-offs call for back-to-back rematches.

Is Street Fighter Alpha - Warriors' Dreams still worth playing in 2026?

A Saturn adaptation of the famous Capcom versus, Street Fighter Alpha Warriors Dreams offers a new generation 2D versus with young versions of Street Fighter fighters, three level Super Combos system and characters from Final Fight. The sublime manga art direction, polished animation and versus mode make it an absolute 2D versus reference on Saturn. For anyone fond of Street Fighter or seeking an unmissable Capcom classic, an absolutely essential recommendation today still truly here indeed for any returning fan.
