Original Japanese edition of the second Summon Night Craft Sword Monogatari, distributed by Banpresto in December 2003, consolidating the forge system and introducing an expanded branching narrative. Banpresto rigid case with intact obi, Tsuru cover in continuity with the first. Japan run was short, complete with obi has become a reference piece for Flight-Plan completists attentive to the native printing, whose Atlus Swordcraft Story 2 translation would only appear in November 2006.

An underrated gem

The peak of the sub-series, this second entry expands the dungeons, enriches the forge, and refines its writing with real maturity. Like its predecessors, it never left Japan, remaining a treasure for importers. Generous and refined, it stands as one of the finest crafting action-RPGs on the machine.

Is Summon Night - Craft Sword Monogatari 2 still worth playing in 2026?

Summon Night Craft Sword Monogatari 2, known as Summon Night Swordcraft Story 2 in the West, extends and improves the first installment on every front. The forge gains more options, the summon companion cast broadens, the real time duels grow more dynamic and the staging more generous. The writing keeps its light humor while tackling slightly more grown up themes. Many fans regard this entry as the peak of the Craft Sword subseries on GBA, and it remains a fine recommendation for fans of the first or anyone seeking a more generous follow up.
