Is TimeSplitter - Jikuu no Shinryakusha still worth playing in 2026?

An FPS from Free Radical Design, known in the West as TimeSplitters, this first entry reunites the GoldenEye veterans around a snappy formula travelling through eras, from the Victorian past to the far future, in frantic arcade gunfights. The generosity of split screen multiplayer, the map editor and the offbeat humour make it a fiercely festive vent. The absence of a fleshed out solo mode and a period presentation temper the whole. An excellent arcade FPS for fans of snappy shooting and local multiplayer among friends.
