Way of the Samurai lays the groundwork for Acquire's feudal sandbox. Narrative freedom, moral choices and tense katana combat. Rough but bold, savoured for originality.

Is Way of the Samurai still worth playing in 2026?

An action adventure from Acquire, Way of the Samurai casts a ronin passing through a village torn by conflict, where every choice and every sword stroke shapes a short but highly replayable story with multiple endings. The katana combat system, the moral freedom and the replayability offered by the branching win over fans of singular experiences. The very short playthrough length and a dated production divide. A title for fans of consequential choice action and samurai atmosphere.
