RomWize
About

Retro gaming, reappraised piece by piece.

RomWize is an independent catalog that retests yesterday's games through a 2026 lens, lists all their regional versions, and estimates what they're really worth today to collectors.

Our mission

Thousands of games defined their era, then faded from view. Some became sought-after treasures, others overlooked gems that deserve a second life. RomWize exists to bring order back to that memory: an up-to-date score, the context behind each title, its European, American and Japanese editions, and an honest value estimate based on the condition of the copy.

Whether you're a nostalgic player, a weekend bargain-hunter or a seasoned collector, the goal is the same: to help you rediscover, compare and estimate without drowning in the noise.

What you'll find

🎮

Retested scores

A "2026" score reappraised against the score of old, so you know what still holds up.

🌍

Every version

European, US and Japanese editions, rarities, languages and special runs, all gathered on a single page.

💰

A price estimate

A value range based on condition, from a battered copy to a sealed, brand-new one.

How we estimate value

Every estimate starts from a base price specific to the platform, adjusted by three factors: the rarity of the version, its desirability among collectors, and the condition of the copy you're evaluating (from a loose game to a complete box, all the way to sealed). These criteria are checked against public market data to stay as close as possible to real transactions.

The amounts shown are indicative estimates, not sale prices or buyback guarantees. The retro market moves fast: treat them as a reference point, not an official quote.

Built for everyone

RomWize is available in seven languages (French, English, Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese and Korean). Regional titles, descriptions and labels adapt to your language so that the page for a Japanese game stays readable wherever you are.

An independent project

RomWize is an independent project, driven by a passion for video games and their preservation. We are not affiliated with any manufacturer or publisher: brands, logos and cover artwork remain the property of their respective owners and are used here only to identify and illustrate the games.
