Description
Official PlayStation expansion of Doom bundling TNT Evilution and The Plutonia Experiment, more demanding than the original campaign. Created by id Software, TeamTNT, the Casali Brothers, GT Interactive and Williams Entertainment for the USA, released in 1996 in the United States and Europe and in 1997 in Japan. Thirty levels of concentrated hell, dense enemies, Aubrey Hodges' atmospheric soundtrack and split-screen multiplayer. Multi-regional edition.
The Japanese release of Final Doom, doubly obscure: pointed veteran expansions and an FPS little favored in that market. This combination makes it a markedly rarer local run than the already uncommon PAL or American versions. Its desirability rests on this twofold scarcity, making it one of the trickiest Doom pieces to complete on the console.
Is Final Doom still worth playing in 2026?
Final Doom bundles the TNT Evilution and The Plutonia Experiment additional episodes on PS1. Harder than the original Doom, with levels designed by the TeamTNT and Casali Brothers communities, the title offers substantial additional content for veterans who finished the first Doom. Aubrey Hodges's ambient soundtrack amplifies the oppressive mood. A genuinely excellent detour today.
