Capcom's 2D fighting game adaptation of the cult JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga. Rich gameplay creatively exploiting Stands, well-represented characters. Capcom's execution is excellent and perfectly captures Araki's exaggerated and flamboyant style. A must-play.

Capcom's adaptation of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga as a 2D fighter, the PAL version published by Capcom with a small European run. Regarded as one of the best home conversions of the CPS-3 arcade game, faithful to Araki's style and the Stand system. Scarce PAL pressing combined with strong, lasting demand (JoJo fans and Capcom 2D-versus collectors) makes it one of the priciest titles of its kind on PS1.

Is JoJo's Bizarre Adventure still worth playing in 2026?

A Capcom fighting game adapted from Hirohiko Araki's manga, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure pits the saga's heroes against each other with their Stands, those fighting entities of singular gameplay on the CPS-3 system. The gorgeous sprites, the expressive animation and the toggleable Stand mechanic bring real originality to the versus. The PlayStation port shows a few compromises against the arcade. A great brawler to recommend for fans of Araki's work and lovers of inventive 2D versus from Capcom.
