JuJu Densetsu adapts the SNK Toki platformer on Famicom with a warrior transformed into a monkey facing the voodoo sorcerer and tropical creatures. The representation chains platform and fixed pattern combat with magical spit in an SNK arcade port formula. Without western release, curiosity for Famicom platform fans in the 8 bit SNK production vein.

Collector interest

JuJu Densetsu, released by Taito in 1989, is the Famicom version of the arcade title known as Jungle King, kept exclusive to Japan under this name. The platformer openly draws on Wonder Boy yet retains a distinct Taito identity, making it a catalog piece for fans of the company and the genre. Its scarcity comes from territorial exclusivity and a niche print run, with demand fed by collectors of Famicom platformers little seen in the West.
