Is Nectaris still worth playing in 2026?

Known as Military Madness in the West, Nectaris is a Hudson turn based wargame pitting two camps on lunar hex maps, where positioning and the encirclement bonus matter more than brute force. The tactical purity, the readability of the system and the map by map replayability make it an accessible yet deep genre reference. The sober presentation and measured pace call for a taste for reflection. An excellent strategy game for fans of hex wargames and cerebral challenge.
