The tactics play out on maps seen at three quarters, but every clash cuts to a close view where the two combatants animate at full size. This alternation allows highly detailed battle sprites, dragons, centaurs, armoured knights, while keeping a readable map where every unit stays identifiable.
Motoi Sakuraba writes campaign music of rich harmony here, with battle themes climbing in steps and village passages of unexpected gentleness. The key changes follow the story's turns, and some motifs return transformed across the chapters, binding the journey together.
