Collector interest

An episodic rebirth of Toyama's horror series, Siren Blood Curse reinvents sightjacking and the cursed village in a westernized production, first sold by chapters. Still common in Europe, its interest lies in this status as a modern rereading of a cult saga rather than scarcity. A piece valued by fans of demanding Japanese horror.

An underrated gem

A Japanese survival horror of rare intensity, built around "sightjacking": seeing through your enemies' eyes to avoid them, across haunted villages oozing dread. Its punishing difficulty and demanding structure put many off. But its genuine terror and oppressive atmosphere make it a must-play for fans of uncompromising horror.

Is Siren - Blood Curse still worth playing in 2026?

Siren New Translation, better known in the West as Blood Curse, is a Japanese survival horror of suffocating atmosphere, cut into interconnected episodes like a TV series. Its complex narrative, interweaving the fates of several characters trapped in a cursed village, and its sight-jacking mechanic shared with enemies create a psychological tension of rare intensity. The gameplay, demanding and at times rough, bets on stealth and fear rather than action. Singular and disturbing, this title is not for everyone. But for the fan of cerebral, atmospheric horror, it remains a striking experience.
