"Solid"
Drawing on John Williams's immortal scores, the music wraps the galactic battlefields in an epic orchestral breadth. From the Imperial March to the heroic themes, every clash gains in cinematic grandeur. This symphonic richness, faithful to the saga, plunges the player into the heart of the star wars.

"From the very first seconds"
The sequel thinks even bigger, adding space battles and a cast of playable heroes to the already epic ground battles. Going from the ground to a fighter's cockpit seamlessly delivers a unique sense of freedom. The fan service is total and the action generous from start to finish. Spectacular, varied and furiously unifying, a must of the Star Wars multiplayer game.
Addictiveness
"Obsessive"
Plunging into a mass battle on the ground or in space while switching between soldier, vehicle and hero sets up an epic chaos whose every round revives the urge to go back in. Conquering the planets in a galactic campaign feeds a constant progression. The AI is uneven, but this scale, this variety of fronts and this Star Wars nostalgia keep a formidable pull.
Difficulty
"Balanced"
Lifespan
"Massive"
Plunging into vast Star Wars battles, on the ground and in space, unfolds a shooter where galactic conquest chains fronts without respite. Playing the heroes, leading squadrons and unlocking everything fills long hours, extended by multiplayer. That generosity, paired with delightful fan service, founds a longevity fans cultivate.

Star Wars - Battlefront II (PS2) price, value & rarity
The Japanese version of Star Wars Battlefront II in local packaging, less widespread than the Western editions of this license fans' favorite. This native edition appeals to collectors of the Japanese releases of a shooting saga mostly popular in the West. Its interest lies in this regional run and original presentation rather than strong scarcity.
Better with friends
A more ambitious sequel to the galactic battlefield, widening the fronts, adding heroes and even space dogfights to wage in multiplayer. The competition gains variety: alternating infantry, fighter piloting and objective capture opens rich strategies and heady reversals. Spectacular and generous, it offers shared battles of wild scope where coordination and panache combine.
Is Star Wars - Battlefront II still worth playing in 2026?
Released in 2005 on PS2, Pandemic's project considerably refines the formula of the first entry by adding space combat aboard fighters, interior ship play and above all playable heroes, from Darth Vader to Yoda. The campaign, told from the point of view of a clone trooper, gains personality, and the diversity of modes fleshes out an already generous offering. The scale of the ground and space battles stays exhilarating. The shutdown of the servers deprives the game of its online side. A benchmark of Star Wars shooting, recommended for fans of the saga and for fans of epic combat in solo or local play.
